John Sergeant regales tales about Margaret Thatcher
A former BBC political correspondent acted as guest speaker at the joint annual Isle of Man Wealth and Financial Services Association and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments dinner.
John Sergeant set the record straight about how he became famous after tipping food all over the floor in front of Margaret Thatcher and her offering to clean it up for him.
Now a freelance broadcaster, he presented the Manx audiences with a plethora of political tales and one-liners.
With attendees including the Chief Minister, MHKs and business leaders, and more than £2000 raised for Bowl Cancer Isle of Man and Monitors4Kids, the organisations hosting the annual event have hailed it a success.
