
Friends Provident’s international businesses, including of Man-based Friends Provident International, have outstripped their UK counterparts for the first time.
In 2009, the combined sales of Friends Provident International, Luxembourg-based Lombard and Malaysian firm AMLife, accounted for 53 per cent of total sales.
FPI’s sales contributed £183 million, with quarter on quarter growth over the last year, although its total sales were marginally down on 2008.
