Course at Bride to close to public at end of September
One of the Island's nine golf courses is to be sold.
Glen Truan in Bride is to be marketed for sale and development.
The course, which consists of over 150 acres of land next to the Ayres Nature Reserve, first received planning permission in the 1990's and has been operated since then as a small family business.
However, Director of Glen Truan, Richard Radcliffe, a family member who helped to first develop the course, says it's now time for them to retire from the business and look to others to develop the site further, perhaps with a hotel, spa or eco village.
Along with the course itself, the sale will include a farmhouse, chalet, greenkeeper's shed and other former farm buildings.
The course will close to the public on 30th of September and those interested in the sale should contact glentruangolf@manx.net in the first instance, where they will be referred to the acting agent.
Price is exclusively on application.
