A golf day sponsored by Island-based e-gaming firm Celton Manx has raised £7,000 for the bereavement charity Cruse.
Local businesses fielded 18 teams for the Texas Scramble competition, held at Peel Golf Club.
The day included a prize presentation and the auction of a West Ham United match day hospitality package, donated by Celton Manx, which raised £1,250.
Cruse Bereavement organiser Sam Skelton has thanked Celton Manx for sponsoring the event and all involved in helping raise the impressive sum on one day.
The money will be used to train volunteer bereavement counsellors who offer a valued support service to the Island community, and who are currently developing a special section for bereaved youngsters, Cruse Kids.
The charity's hoping to make the golf day an annual event.
