Douglas-based Corporate Service Provider Dominion Marine is thanking the American Republican party for a successful boat show in Florida.
Chris Allix, the company’s founding director, says the Republican victory in the US mid-term elections meant people were looking to spend money at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
Mr Allix says he had a number of positive discussions with potential clients who were eager to hear about the Isle of Man's register.
He adds that after gloom and misery at the last two shows, as the economic downturn bit, this year’s event was extremely positive and upbeat.
