Island legal firm Cains has won recognition from a top professional publication, across nine of its practice areas.
The independent Legal 500 Guide surveys more than 250,000 corporate lawyers and is acknowledged as the world's largest legal referral guide.
The 2014 edition names Douglas-based Cains as a top-tier firm for its performance in areas ranging from banking and finance to dispute resolution, shipping, aviation and space.
Twenty-two Cains lawyers are also recommended in the guide's editorial section, with eight named on an elite list of nationwide lawyers, including the firm's managing director Andrew Corlett.
Mr Corlett said he was delighted at the recognition adding it is ".. all the more important as the Legal 500 is an independent guide with firms and individuals recommended purely on merit.”
Legal 500 has short listed Cains in the Offshore Law Firm of the Year awards, to be announced on 8 October.
