Google executive clicks with Island marketers

Professional marketers in the Island have an opportunity to hear the latest thinking on online marketing from a Google executive next month.

Ralph Chiti, head of new business at Google's European headquarters in Dublin, will give a presentation to the Isle of Man branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing on 4 November.

He'll put forward the view that marketing should become more 'audience-centric' - which suggests the way people consume marketing material should be foremost in the minds of those who produce it.

The online marketing guru will also question whether the established theory of a 'marketing mix' for clients remains relevant in the digital age.

The institute  will also hold its latest free marketing surgery to local business at the same event.

This offers business people an opportunity to talk to the Island's chartered marketers on a one-to-one basis and the role marketing can play in their future growth.

Both events are at the Villa Marine on Tuesday 4 November.

There's a charge for the presentation and place should be booked online at cim.co.uk/65811 e mail cimevents@cim.co.uk.
