Staff in community effort for school
Accountants from Island accountancy firm Grant Thornton have swapped hedge funds for hedge trimmers to benefit a local school.
Fifteen staff from the Douglas office volunteered to get their hands dirty at Willaston School, as part of a worldwide initiative by the firm.
Gardening, painting and handicraft were all on the agenda at Willaston, to restore the playground to its former glory after a long summer holiday.
Headteacher Rose Burton thanked the employees for their efforts, saying it would assist the school's outdoor learning programme and 'brighten up the whole area'.
