Habitat at Tynwald Mills says it's business as usual for the time being, after the chain revealed it would close its stores outside London.
Home Retail Group, which owns Argos and Homebase, is to buy the brand and three central London stores, but Habitat has called in the administrators for its other 30 outlets.
Today (Friday) a spokesman for the store in St John’s said it would continue trading as normal.
Outside London, HRG says it plans to sell Habitat-branded goods online and at some of its existing Homebase stores.
