Hamblin to host crypto currency training

Recruitment firm Hamblin has unveiled plans for a twin series of training courses, aimed at explaining what it calls the contentious and fascinating world of crypto currencies to Island businesses.

A basic course for the uninitiated and another for advanced professionals will take place on 14 October at The Forum in Douglas.

A morning session will offer delegates a definition of Bitcoin and other virtual currencies and a brief history of the concept.

There will also be an overview of digital wallets, anonymity, security and costs.

The afternoon session promises to take delegates already in the know to an advanced level. It will deal with a raft of issues from speculation and investment to losses and hacking, restrictions and money laundering.

Managing director of Hamblin Employment Group Emma Allard says the courses aim to equip local business people with the knowledge and foundation to explore the opportunities offered by virtual curriences, with confidence.
