A leading haulier in the Isle of Man says its time the user agreement between the Manx government and the Steam Packet was renegotiated.
John Quaye, of Manx Independent Carriers, also believes the type of vessels used by the ferry company needs to be reassessed.
He says the fast craft use too much fuel and are not reliable enough:
