Ballakermeen High school has been accredited with the Investors in People Gold Award, in recognition of its high standard of teaching and learning.
Minister for Economic Development John Shimmin and chief executive at the Department of Education and Children Stuart Dobson presented the award to headteacher Adrienne Burnett at a special ceremony.
Mr Shimmin says it's a tremendous achievement and the school should be very proud (listen to audio file below):
