Efforts to increase footfall pay off
Last-minute shoppers have been giving their views on Douglas town centre's Christmas appeal.
Around half of those surveyed by Manx Radio on Strand Street said they'd done most of their shopping locally - the other half had been scouting deals online, searching for extras on the high street.
There was a thumbs-up to Douglas Development Partnership's efforts to attract more people into the capital's shopping streets, with special events and attractions such as the ice sculptures and increased opening hours.
