Executive suites add to Claremont offer
A substantial investment by Sleepwell Hotels has added to choice of accommodation for demanding business visitors in the Island.
The latest phase of a multi-million pound upgrade of the Claremont Hotel on Loch Promenade, Douglas, has seen the conversion of new executive club suites, offering lounge areas and a range of up-market creature comforts.
Bench-marked against hotels in European business centres, the suites offer a distinct Manx feel. Each boasts a floor-to-ceiling mural depicting local scenes from the late 19th century, sourced from Manx National Heritage archives.
The £750,000 investment is part of an ongoing refurb to position The Claremont firmly on the radar of the business visitor market.
The project began four years ago, when shortage of business-spec accommodation was an oft-heard gripe.
