UK award for Island accountant
A partner at an Island accountancy practice has been feted as one to watch in the profession, after winning a prestigious award.
Andrew Dixon from Douglas-based Moore Stephens has been named Accountant of the year in Citywealth magazine's Future Leaders Under 40 Awards 2016.
Entrants are nominated through an online voting system open to the public, then shortlisted by a panel of industry judges.
The awards recognise the potential of young professionals in the wealth management sector, with their ambition, leadership qualities and communication skills among criteria.
Andrew Dixon, who was educated in the Island, trained at a Big Four firm before joining Moore Stephens in 2010.
The company is accredited for training by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
