An Island insurance firm is warning holiday makers to make sure they buy the right travel cover this summer, or risk footing large bills.
With the schools soon due to break up for summer, many families will be looking at travelling abroad.
Most are aware they need to insure against delays, losses and the cost of medical assistance - with insurance often bought as an add-on to a holiday package.
Managing director of Rossborough Insurance Tim Rattray is urging residents to make sure cheap deals offer suitable cover - and to read the policy small print.
He says failure to comply with terms and conditions is the main cause of companies refusing to pay out:
