A financial services sector body has struck the right chord with the Manx Youth Band.
The Isle of Man Funds Association has presented the group with a cheque for £1,685 which will be used to buy and repair instruments and fund the upkeep of the band room in Douglas.
The cash was raised in a raffle at the Association's annual dinner where the band provided a musical brass interlude.
Manx Youth Band director Ian Clague MBE said the donation was greatly appreciated to ensure they can continue to provide free instruments and tuition to members.
Chairman of IOM Funds Association Paul Kneen said: "We hope that our donation will go some way to help them continue their work, particularly with the younger generation who are learning to play as part of a supportive and committed organisation".
