UK drivers pay almost twice Manx average
The Isle of Man has been named as the cheapest place in Britain to buy car insurance.
Comparison website MoneySuperMarket analysed millions of individual quotes from across the British Isles, to show how the average price of a premium has fallen by 13% in the last year.
But it's only good news in the short term for drivers, as the data also reveals a 17% rise over the last five years.
Manx motorists can expect to pay an average of £285 per year for their car insurance - almost half the UK average of £483.
East London is the most expensive place for insurance, with the average quote coming in at £930.
