
The Manx e-Gaming Association has forecasted significant growth for the industry in 2013 with projections suggesting 79 additional staff will be employed by the end of the year.
In 2006 the sector employed 230 people and has since grown, providing jobs for 775 people in 2012.
The association's estimates suggest direct expenditure in the Island by local firms in the sector totalled £175 million last year, a figure expected to rise to £200 million during 2013.
John Webster from the organisation says the industry also contributes £18 million in taxation to the Isle of Man Treasury.
