MUA chair says introduction of green energy is 'important'
The introduction of renewables is important for the Isle of Man's reputation within the global business community, according to Manx Utilities.
Last week saw government announce its plans to introduce on-shore wind turbines and solar panels by 2026.
The MUA says the project will cost 'tens of millions' of pounds, and adds that it's likely to be at least two-and-a-half-years before we'll see small-scale wind turbines.
It's hoped the move will reduce the Island's reliance on 'volatile energy markets' and assist with government's climate targets.
