The Isle of Man will be getting some new phone numbers after Manx Telecom signed up to a Europe-wide helpline scheme.
The universal helpline numbers will enable people to find the right numbers for services easily, no matter which part of Europe they are in.
The six-digit numbers include lines to report missing children, Childline, Samaritans, victims of crime and a non-emergency medical on-call service.
Head of product management at Manx Telecom Graham Shimmin says the changes will ensure Isle of Man customers and visitors to the Island can use the new pan-European short codes.
