IsleExpo vision sharpens focus

Event promoted as content builds

Plans for the Isle of Man's first business expo are developing rapidly, with less than three weeks before the event opens at the Villa Marina.

IsleExpo has been devised by the Department of Economic Development as a one-day conference to inspire local enterprise and encourage businesses to relocate to the Island.

It will also kick start the department's £50 million Enterprise Development Scheme, designed to assist fledgling firms, improve the local skills base and boost employment.

Expo organisers, who are promoting the event on social media, say delegate numbers are promising. 

Among a wide range of exhibitors, seminars and panels on offer, the Island's Junior Achievement project will host a 'Pitch-It' session. 

Meanwhile, Manx Telecom is to sponsor a gala dinner on the eve of the conference, where Sir Chris Hoy will be guest speaker.
