Hartford Homes carrying out the work
Work on a new commercial complex at Eden Park off the Cooil Road is progressing well and is on schedule, according to the company developing the site.
Hartford Homes is carrying out the work for Jacksons Motor Group, which is aiming to open a large, multi-brand showroom on the outskirts of Douglas in late 2017.
The site was opened out to the main Cooil Road recently with the removal overnight of a large section of roadside hedging and trees, attracting some criticism from members of the public.
But James Greenhalgh, a director at Hartford Homes, says they had to be removed:
