Stamps salute long-established Manx firms
Six of the Island's longest-established companies have been saluted as the Companies Act reaches a landmark anniversary.
Laws governing the structure and operation of Manx firms were first passed by Tynwald in 1865.
In the 150 years since, they've been amended numerous times, with a major overhaul in 2006 creating the Isle of Man Companies Act we have today.
Isle of Man Post has issued a special set of stamps to mark the anniversary, depicting some of the nation's longest continuously trading companies.
They include the first company incorporated under the Act, Isle of Man Bank, along with the Steam Packet Company and Heron & Brearley.
Ramsey-based Farmers Combine, Finch Hall Pavilion Ltd and Peel Golf Club are smaller concerns whose history is celebrated on the stamps.
