An initiative to try and secure better financial returns for Manx farmers will be rolled out over the next 12 months.
Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, it will put the 'eating quality' of Manx meat under the spotlight.
DAFF says the 'better returns programme' could improve farmers' profitability if they can ensure a consistently high-quality product, more in tune with consumer demand both on and off-island.
