The National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society has appointed a new local director.
Eric Taggart a well-known farmer in the south of the Island, has been selected for the role.
Mr Taggart jointly owns Billown Farms Limited and held the role of Vice President of the Manx NFU for four years.
He has also been a member of the Manx NFU Council for 40 years and the Island's Milk Marketing Board for 20 years.
David Wilkinson from NFU Mutual in Douglas says the role is fundamental to the member-owned organisation to ensure it continues to represent the views of the local rural community.
