Aims to resolve disputes amicably
Resolving family disputes amicably was the subject of an open day on Thursday.
Logis Family Mediation held the event, for Family Law professionals on the Island, to launch its new premises in Douglas and to explain its work.
Tina Hall and John Kermode, who are working together on the venture, say the idea is to help both parents find the best way forward, through times that are often difficult.
John said: ”Often the court process, with separate advocates, is like a battle. There has to be a winner and a loser.
"Mediation is different. We are trying to help couples generate a 'win-win' solution, so that both can hold their heads up, and work together in the future, not as intimate partners, but as separated parents who both still care for and love their children."
