The Lord Mayor of London will be speaking on Wednesday night
(November 21st) to a Manx business audience.
Alderman David Lewis's address is the first in what being termed The Chief Ministers International lectures. This could be seen as the successor to the Euro club but with a wider brief, global as opposed to European.
David Lewis is a lawyer and his speech is likely to include reference to Manx connections to the city, useful at a time when the Government have been staging relaunches of the funds industry and captive industries in the City.
The lecture is "black tie" and starts at 7-30 on Wednesday.
