Fewer plastic containers to be used by food and drink sellers
A local business is doing its bit to reduce plastic waste during the busiest fortnight of the year.
Mannvend will be reducing its use of plastic containers during TT and replacing plates, platters and cups with compostable alternatives.
The refreshment company is a UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man partner, and already supplies other businesses with environmentally-friendly alternatives, such as compostable ice creams tubs to gelato specialists, Smoo.
Managing Director of MannVend, Tracey Leahy, says they hope this will show visitors the Isle of Man is taking practical steps to protect natural resources and the environment.
