Global challenge to inspire youngsters
Satellite firm ManSat is hoping to inspire the next generation of Manx innovators by sponsoring students in a global tech competition.
The Conrad Spirit of Innovation Challenge sees teams of 13-to-18-year-olds pitching inventions in the fields of aviation, cyber-security, the environment or health - with finalists jetting off to the Kennedy Space Center in Texas to present their ideas.
In 2014 a team from QEII High School narrowly missed out on the glory, having made it to the penultimate round.
But ManSat, which is in its seventh year of sponsoring teams for the Challenge, is hoping an Island team could sweep the board this time around.
Registration is open until 1 November - for more information you can visit conradchallenge.org, or for sponsorship details, mansat.org.
