
A Manx-owned company says it is to build 1,000 megawatts of wind farms in India over the next four years.
Indian Energy, owned by Douglas-based Infrastructure India, says it will partner with a developer in the deal, which is one of the largest clean energy projects the country has ever seen.
Trishe Developers will build the turbines and sell them to Indian Energy, according to the company’s managing director Rupert Strachwitz.
Indian Energy says the turbines will be built in three phases in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra states.
