Alliance wants TV licence change
The Manx Taxpayers’ Alliance claims people on the Isle of Man are being penalised by a ‘regressive tax’.
The lobby group says it wants government to stop forcing residents to fund the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Spokesperson Michael Josem said: “Currently Manx residents are slugged with a regressive, unfair and retrograde tax in the form of TV licenses.”
Last week government revealed it would be giving free licences for people over the age of 75, who don't receive income support, for another 12 months.
