Manx Telecom CEO speaks at IoD event

Lamb outlines state of telecoms markets

Innovation, partnerships and acquisition are all needed if firms with limited abilities to expand are to flourish.

That’s according to the CEO of Manx Telecom Gary Lamb.

He was guest speaker at the Institute of Directors' final Dining Club event of 2015.

Mr Lamb cited the UK telecoms industry as evidence of this – as BT is looking to buy the region’s largest network provider EE; elsewhere mobile giant 3 is hoping to purchase O2.

In his talk, he said MT had invested £110million into the Island’s telecoms infrastructure over the last decade – and was striving to create jobs by attracting new businesses and technology to the Island.
