The Coastal Powerhouse Summit is being hosted in Port Erin
An event today (Friday 11 July) hopes to highlight how important the Isle of Man is within the global maritime sector.
The Coastal Powerhouse Summit is bringing together parties from across the sector here and in the UK to find ways of working together more closely.
It's being hosted by Isle of Man Maritime and Maritime UK at Bradda Glen in Port Erin this afternoon and will be attended by Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood.
Some of the key themes being discussed will include how to advance digital transformation and innovation and building the future through skills and careers development.
