Rushen MHK Juan Watterson has been invited to join the Institute of Chartered Accountants' Public Sector Advisory Board.
The board was set up in 2007 to represent the interests of members working in public sector entities, charities and not for profit organisations.
Mr Watterson became a chartered accountant in 2005, and was elected chairman of the institute's Student Council in 2006, when he also became an MHK.
He says it's a great honour to be invited to join the board and he is looking forward to using his financial knowledge and experience in government to help ensure high ethical and professional standards.
