MT offers new phone books for old

Directory for every Island household

Special features on the Manx language and countryside have been included in Manx Telecom's 2016 phone directory.

Fifty thousand new directories will be delivered to households around the Island this weekend (16 & 17 Jan) by local firm Trade Distribution Ltd.

The phone books, which contain a local business directory, are still in demand in the age of texts, e mails and instant messaging!

Along with a guide to MT's fixed line, mobile and broadband services, this year's publication contains a feature on exploring the countryside, school terms and bank holidays and a list of major events in 2016. Other information pages include street maps and the addresses and phone numbers of Tynwald members.

There's also a chance to pick up some Manx while leafing through its pages, which offer a list of common Manx words and phrases.

Old phone books can left for kerbside recycling or placed in recycling skips around the Island.
