Health checks for global firms
A new Island company says it’s hoping to improve human rights around the world by hitting abusive companies where it hits – on their balance sheets. Synceritas is described by its founders Paul Beckett and Colin Tansley as a human rights intelligence service which provides health checks for firms around the globe. It’ll draw on Mr Beckett’s experience as a human rights advocate as well as Mr Tansley’s years of experience as a police officer. Mr Beckett says the service would be especially useful in areas such as corporate insurance:
Government publishes updated insurance sector money laundering risk assessment
Application for fibre poles in Ramsey estate refused
CoMin 'recognises and is mindful' of minimum wage concerns
MHK to approach DFE about extending visa offerings here
