Health checks for global firms
A new Island company says it’s hoping to improve human rights around the world by hitting abusive companies where it hits – on their balance sheets. Synceritas is described by its founders Paul Beckett and Colin Tansley as a human rights intelligence service which provides health checks for firms around the globe. It’ll draw on Mr Beckett’s experience as a human rights advocate as well as Mr Tansley’s years of experience as a police officer. Mr Beckett says the service would be especially useful in areas such as corporate insurance:
