Manx-based online payment processor Optimal Payments has launched new software to serve an e-commerce platform owned by internet giant eBay.
The company says its new anti-fraud and payment software has been designed to work with Magento, which is used by more than 150,000 merchants worldwide.
The Optimal Payments extension connects Magento to its own payment gateway and allows suspicious orders to be flagged and held up while checks are carried out.
Optimal Payments chief business development officer Martin Leroux says the aim is to minimize losses to businesses while ensuring customers aren’t inconvenienced unduly.
