Businesses touting for prospective custom by cold calling are in receipt of a fierce warning by the Office of Fair Trading.
It was prompted by reports of someone visiting addresses in the Onchan area yesterday (November 8).
People are told to reject advances, as the goods can't be verified or guaranteed.
The marketing method was made a criminal offence on June 5 this year - meaning anyone caught doing it could face conviction.
