Aile & 1907 scoop top industry honours
Douglas brewery Okell's has been given a taste of victory, after one of its beers was judged 'the world's best'.
The pub giant's Aile variety was named overall winner in the 'Speciality Beer' category at the 2016 International Beer Challenge, which took place in London last month.
Its 1907 pale ale also earned a silver medal, fending off competition from 700 entries in 30 countries.
Chief brewer Dr Mike Cowbourne described the win as 'overwhelming' and 'unprecedented', adding that it will help to 'raise the profile of not only Okell's, but the Isle of Man' in general.
