Deal worth more than £1 billion
A Manx-based online payment processor says it’s finalised a deal worth more than a billion pounds to buy a digital payment operation.
Optimal Payments says its acquisition of Skrill is now complete, creating a group that will accept more than 100 payment types in 22 languages and in more than 40 currencies.
The Skrill Group is one of Europe's biggest digital payments businesses and pre-paid online voucher providers.
Optimal describes the deal as “transformational and value enhancing” in an increasingly consolidating sector.
