Online payment processor Optimal Payments says it’s signed a deal with Channel 1 Media Solutions to provide ecommerce services for sports franchises in North America.
It’ll mean US sports teams can offer online payments on their websites – as well as branded loyalty cards and digital wallets as well as real-life in-stadium purchases.
The first American team to launch is Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes – which is using Optimal’s systems for online ticket renewals.
