Playtech urged to complete merger
An online trading company says Manx-based software company Playtech has until the end of this year to conclude a merger – or face having the deal called off.
Plus500 which is headquartered in Israel, has been in talks with Playtech over a £460 million buyout deal but needs regulatory permission from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.
Playtech now says it expects a decision on that to be made in December.
Plus500 – which trades in commodities, shares, foreign exchange and other financial instruments – says under the terms of the merger, it may be terminated if not settled by New Year’s Eve.
