Manx-based online poker site PokerStars.com will try to get into the Guinness Book of Records later this month.
The company will attempt to hold the largest ever Internet poker tournament.
The tournament will be held on December 28 and it hopes to attract up to 35,000 players to break its own record set last year of 20,000 players.
There’s a prize of $50,000 on offer, and the company says almost 2,000 players have registered so far.
