The managing director of Manx Telecom, Chris Hall, says neither jobs nor prices will be affected by the sale of the company.
MT's parent Telefonica has accepted an offer from the communications company CPS Partners and private equity investor HgCapital, in a deal worth £158.5 million pounds.
Mr Hall says there was an encouraging reaction from staff when he broke the news tro them on Friday morning:
