Public opinion sought on financial crime legislation revision

The Island's tactics to fight financial crime are being revised, and the Department of Home Affairs is asking for your help.

The Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Code places obligations on financial institutions to detect and deter any illegal activity.

After consultation with the business community last year, the department is appealing for public feedback on the suggested measures.

You can find out more about the proposed changes at gov.im/consultations

If would like to have your say about the changes, you can email the department on dhaconsultation@gov.im before January 29.
