Quilter praises support for Crossroads Care Charity

OMI on course to raise £60K to help young carers

The CEO of Quilter plc has praised a campaign which is helping the Crossroads Care Charity to support more young carers on the Island.

Paul Feeney was speaking during a recent visit to the Island.

In January this year Old Mutual International launched a three year campaign to help the lives of young carers via a partnership with Crossroads Care.

Old Mutual International remains on course to achieve its goal of donating just over £60,000 to the charity by 2021, the sum being a combination of funds raised by staff which is matched by the company.

OMI has already donated £15,000 to Crossroads Care. That sum is funding a Young Carers Project to provide support to children and young people aged from 5 to 18.

Funds will also be used to organise a Young Carers' Festival to be held in July 2019 and other plans are in place to allow Crossroads Care to expand the scope of the Young Carers Project in 2020 and 2021.
