Steam Packet collections raise more than £10,000
The Steam Packet Company says this year’s annual fundraiser aboard its vessels has raised a record-breaking sum for the Manx Grand Prix Supporters’ Club.
Crew members on the Ben-my-Chree and Manannan carry out collections on all sailings during the Festival of Motorcycling and this year raised £10,532.
That’s almost £3,000 higher than the previous record collected in 2014, which the company says is a wonderful celebration of the club’s 40th anniversary.
The donations help fund rescue helicopters, support injured riders and fund vital medical equipment for the annual roadracing event.
