Planning application for outdoor cover
Those enjoying a slice of pizza at a local food business in Castletown could be spared from the elements, if plans for a covered seating area get the go ahead.
The Secret Pizza Company has applied for permission to erect a temporary tent structure, and enclosing wall, to keep customers dry during the wet Manx weather.
Concerns about the safety of the proposal had been raised by Manx Utilities, which said there were low voltage cables beneath the seating area at the Old Mortuary.
However, these worries were allayed after a meeting with the applicant to discuss the plans.
Castletown Commissioners have expressed their support for the proposal.
